CHS Junior Luke Horton will be competing at the UIL State contest this weekend in Ready Writing. He has been competing in this event since his years in Baker Koonce Intermediate.
“I’m extremely excited to make it to the State level in this event,” Luke shared. “I’ve had many excellent teachers over the years including my mom, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. McLaughlin, Mrs. Ratcliff and Mrs. Jackson.”
Luke won first first place at the Regional Contest several weekends ago, as well as at the District Contest this spring.
“It will be an incredible experience and I hope that I can honor all the hard work my teachers have done for me,” Luke added.
