The Carthage Independent School District is honored to recognize the Class of 2023 during an outdoor graduation ceremony scheduled for May 26, 2023 at 8 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. There is open seating at the stadium for all guests attending the ceremony.
For friends and family members unable to attend, KGAS Radio will provide a livestream of the ceremony on their Facebook page.
In the event of inclement weather, the start of the graduation ceremony may be delayed until storms pass. If weather prevents the district from hosting the ceremony outdoors, it would be moved indoors to the Performing Arts Center. If the ceremony is moved indoors, graduates would be allowed to have 10 guests attend. All graduating seniors will receive 10 guest tickets in advance, in case the ceremony is moved indoors. In the event that the ceremony is moved indoors, additional seating will be available in the CHS Commons area and a livestream of the ceremony will be available.
Any changes to the graduation ceremony date/time would be communicated as soon as possible on the district website, Carthage ISD Facebook page, and via text message to parents/guardians.
Seniors are required to attend two graduation rehearsals in preparation for the ceremony. The first indoor rehearsal will be held Thursday, May 25 at 9 a.m. in the little auditorium. The second rehearsal will take place on the field at Bulldog Stadium on Friday, May 26 at 9 a.m. Seniors are also required to follow the graduation ceremony dress code and behavior rules to participate in the ceremony. If a senior has not already signed and returned the Acknowledgement of Dress Code and Behavior Rules, please download, sign and return this document to the Counselor’s Office.
